For over 26 years, Shelford Quality Homes has been producing much-loved homes in Western Australia. Now, one of their newest designs, the Allegato, combines Shelford’s proven experience in residential design with a distinctively European flair – courtesy of Bristile Roofing’s Innova ceramic roof tiles by La Escandella.

Located in Hammond Park, the Allegato display home is an elegant take on the contemporary family home. It boasts three bedrooms, a home theatre and a flexible self-contained studio perfect for visiting guests or growing teens. Shelford Quality Homes pride themselves on building with quality materials – they specify products from some of Australia’s leading brands, including Bristile Roofing.

For the Allegato, Shelford specified the Innova roof tiles to complement the project’s minimalist facade. They chose the striking Slate colourway, a beautiful charcoal hue that pairs perfectly with brick and rendered surfaces. The Innova range has a distinctive corrugated surfaces with flat raised sections that create a modern roof profile.

“The Allegato is one of the first applications of our new Innova tiles from La Escandella, and they’re a perfect match for Shelford’s modern designs,” says Brett Ward, Brickwork’s General Manager of Marketing. “The corrugated surface is a practical finish but it gives the project’s roof a unique aesthetic, too.”

Alongside the Slate colourway, the Innova range is available in four other colours: Caviar, a rich black; Wallaroo, a subtle grey-green; Cocoa, a chocolatey brown; and Turron, a sleek cream colour. Innova’s semi-gloss finish, used on Caviar, Turron and Wallaroo colours, provides a distinctive sheen and prevents dirt and grime from sticking to the tiles’ surface.

Produced in Spain, the La Escandella range builds on the strong European tradition of manufacturing ceramic tiles. The company’s innovative technology results in finely crafted and durable tiles that are made to stand the test of time. La Escandella products come with a 100-year product warranty, supported by Bristile’s Colour for Life warranty.

“There is a lot of heritage in La Escandella’s approach – ceramic tiles have been a key material in Spanish residential design for centuries,” Brett says. “Now they’re taking advantage of 21st-century technology to produce contemporary designs that will last for centuries to come.”
